Finally I find that my Hovawart is not the only one in Canada! I came over with her from Finland in 2007, she is called Stelmo's Bona Dea, her kennel website http://www.saunalahti.fi/felix3/ (pages unfortunately only in Finnish). Dea is 8 years old soon, we'd love to have a puppy soon, and I've been having headaches about how painful the flight would be be for a puppy from Finland. Are you planning to have any litters in the future?

Hello Downeys,
I'm glad to see you have a website up and running again. The website looks great. Just thought you'd like an update on Belle. She is doing well. If you want more detailed information on just how well she is doing email me and I'll fill you in. We have recently been registered as a Pet Therapy Team through the Delta Society. She enjoys going to our public library to take part in a program called Waggin' Tales. Children who perhaps are having trouble with their reading skills and who may be too embarrassed to read out loud to their peers are happy and willing to read to a dog. Belle is a good listener and occasionally sneeks in a kiss or two when the kids are least expecting it. We hope to visit some nursing homes in our area soon. Sounds like you and your dog family are doing well. I hope the HCNA chooses a date for next year's show that we will be able to attend. Holding them in May makes it impossible because of our greenhouse business.
